Patient Consultations & Counseling
Acoustic Audiology provides patient counseling and consultations for individuals with hearing disorders and communication concerns. Counseling is an extremely important part of any successful hearing rehabilitation plan (i.e. aural rehabilitation). A successful treatment plan requires that the patient and the hearing healthcare expert work closely together to build a trusting relationship. A hearing rehabilitation plan will not be successful if the clinician and the patient cannot work together.
Hearing loss is an extremely personal experience, unique to you and only you. Without a personalized treatment program and plan, hearing rehabilitation will not be successful. For adults living with hearing loss, this can lead to isolation and depression, putting you at higher risk for dementia and ultimately lowering your quality of life.
If you or someone you know is living with hearing loss, encourage them to make an appointment for a Comprehensive Hearing Assessment with one of our hearing healthcare providers today. The hearing rehabilitation process is about more than just hearing better. It is about empowering you and helping you and your loved ones minimize the impact hearing loss has on your life. By improving your hearing, you can continue doing the things that you enjoy with the people you love, and ultimately live a fuller, richer, and healthier life.
