From Ottawa, Ontario, Maysem completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa before pursuing her Master of Clinical Science (M.Cl.Sc.) in Audiology at Western University in London, Ontario.

Following graduation, Maysem began her career with Alberta Health Services at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, where she provided comprehensive audiological care to patients of all ages. Her clinical experience includes performing diagnostic hearing assessments for adults, children, infants, and newborns. Working in a hospital setting allowed her to develop extensive experience managing a wide range of hearing concerns while collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care.

Maysem is recognized for her thorough and compassionate approach to audiology. She believes that every patient deserves to feel heard and understood, taking the time to carefully listen to their concerns and ensure they have a clear understanding of their hearing health.
