Acoustic Audiology Audiologist

Acoustic Audiology is a family-owned, audiologist-owned hearing clinic in Lloydminster and a leader in evidence-based audiological care. We are looking for a confident Audiologist or Hearing Aid Practitioner to join our team. Experience is preferred, but new graduates that demonstrate commitment to high-quality care and a passion for ongoing learning will also be considered. As we are located in a smaller community, we have a diverse caseload. This allows plenty of opportunities for learning and collaboration.

Overview of the Position

Acoustic Audiology is looking for an Audiologist or Hearing Aid Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be just as passionate about hearing health as we are, and they will contribute to collaborative patient care and be committed to innovation and improvement.


Responsibilities include:

  • Comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations
  • Prescribing, fitting, programming, and verifying (using REM) hearing aids and accessories
  • Counselling, follow-up support, and on-going care for clients and their families
  • Proper charting, report writing, and documentation
  • Involvement with marketing and community outreach


The ideal candidate will possess these skills:

  • Experience performing audiological assessments
  • Experience dispensing hearing aids
  • Knowledge of hearing aids and programming software from major hearing aid manufacturers
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong relationship building, counselling, and follow-up skills
  • Motivated to put the client first
  • Ability to take initiative when appropriate
  • Motivated to help the clinic grow


Minimum qualifications include:

Audiologist

  • Master’s Degree in Audiology or Audiology Doctorate (AuD)
  • Registered with ACSLPA or eligible to register
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Hearing Aid Practitioner

  • Hearing Aid Practitioner/Hearing Instrument Specialist Diploma or equivalent
  • Registered with CHAPA or eligible to register
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken


Acoustic Audiology currently sees patients over the age of 5. Audiologists will be expected to provide assessments and care for both adults and children.
